learn and succeed by providing materials that match
each student's learning style, as well as providing
support for the parent/educator through research-based
instructional techniques.
The curriculum at Dehesa
Charter school follows the California state frameworks,
while allowing for accelerated learning as well as
small group support for beginning and struggling
learners.
Dehesa's particular focus uses the Multiple
Intelligence Theory to promote individualized learning
for each student. Textbooks and materials will be
selected from many sources to facilitate independent
learning for all students.
Each student will have
an individualized learning plan which will serve
as a roadmap over the years. It is created by the
parent/educator, student, and educational facilitator
to establish performance goals, track student progress,
and identify special assistance or services needed
by the student.
