Scion Creative Syndicate (SCS) is a design firm dedicated to providing
you with dynamic graphic design solutions that will make your audience
sit up and take notice. We are an organization of designers, technologists,
artists, writers, producers, and strategists who believe that good design

One of our niches is providing website
design and other services to California's charter
schools. Along the way, we've developed a secure,
web-based
ordering system, allowing teachers and administrators to place orders
for materials,
courses, supplies and activities at times and from places most convenient
for them. It
was from this "thinking outside the box" mentality where OPS
(Online Purchasing System) was born. Providing value on top of great design is what Scion Creative
strives for.
The Online Purchasing System (OPS 2.0) is a proven program for managing
your student funds and detailing your accountability. As a sophisticated
financial tool, OPS enables school administrators to devolve many purchasing and accounting functions
down to the individual student level. OPS fosters local empowerment and
accountability, allowing administrators to track and manage the entire
purchasing process. Teachers can place needed orders for each of their
students through the use of a web-based, password-protected user interface. Emphasis is placed on security as the application
will house sensitive identification and demographic information about
students and teachers.
The "Teacher Resources" section
of the web system allows independent study teachers
to purchase resources and instructional tools on behalf
of individual students within their roster. Once the
ordered items are received, they are simply logged
into inventory and disbursed for use by students.
"Administrative Resources" permits
the administrator to approve requests, oversee the
allocation of funds for all teachers and students,
place and track orders, and match invoices maintaining
full control over student material orders, special
classes, and special circumstance events. Educational
Units (EUs) are subtracted as orders are approved."Parent
Resources" allows public access to simple searches
and displays of vendors, resources, and colleges.
