Somis Academy Charter School K-12 honors the individual learner through offering a personalized educational plan for each student as he/she works through the content of the state's high school educational standards.
Upon completion of the Somis Academy Charter School K-12 program, a student will be prepared to begin life as an educated person in the 21st century. Each student will have met the state requirements for graduation, developed a leadership project and prepared him/herself with strong character development.
The Personalized Learning model of the Somis Academy Charter School K-12 is a high quality, innovative educational program for students in grades K-12 offering different curricular pathways to pursue educational and career goals. We strive to develop each student's potential by providing not only meaningful and challenging coursework, but also a combination of instructional opportunities including: independent study, on-site classes, community college courses, project based learning, Regional Occupational Program and community service experiences. We will empower our graduates with the necessary skills and qualities to succeed in their future academic and /or career goals, allowing and encouraging them to contribute to the enrichment and the betterment of society as a whole.
