Eagles Peak is a California Charter School for grades
K-12 currently serving students in Orange, Imperial,
Riverside, and San Diego counties.
Eagles Peak Charter School is a parent choice school where the community is the classroom. Our mission is to foster the innate curiosity of our students, empower their parents and promote optimum learning by collaboratively developing a personalized learning program for each student.
Eagles Peak Charter School is proud to offer parents
more freedom of choice in the education of your children.
Eagles Peak Charter School is an independent learning
charter school dedicated to enabling individualized
learning models for students.
Eagles Peak is a public school operating with public
educational funds. The
primary goal of our charter school is to maximize learning
opportunities for students, and to guarantee that our
students can master the necessary skills to succeed
in the workplace of today and tomorrow. Eagles Peak
charter school allows for wide differences in student
learning styles, abilities, and interests that are difficult
to accommodate in a traditional classroom school setting.
Unlike a traditional public school, parents tailor the
learning environment to the individual needs of their
children. Because of our school's unique Personalized
Learning system, a "one-size-fits-all" curriculum
is not mandated, and parents remain the authority of
any material affecting their children's attitudes, values,
and beliefs. Through an individually assigned Education
Specialist and extensive online information systems,
we provide training for our parents in curriculum choices,
learning styles, computer literacy and other areas as
needed.
EPCS has several educational programs from which to choose. If
enrolled in our homeschool program, we assign each student
to an Education Specialist (E.S.) as soon as one is
available in that student's geographical area. Our Education
Specialists are credentialed teachers who oversee each
student's educational progress.
The E.S. works closely with parents and students to explain the various educational options available. Together, the parent and E.S. determine how best to use the allotted educational funds. These funds may be used to provide curriculum, computers, and other learning tools for use while attending our school. They may also be used to facilitate a variety of educational alternatives for each child. All provided materials are the property of the Charter School, and must be returned to the school when completed.
Although an independent study charter, we offer several programs with a site-based component to facilitate the education of our students. At the elementary level, we offer Montessori, Dual Language, and Eagles Nest programs. For Middle School, we have the Creative Arts Academy. And for high school, we offer the Renaissance High School Academy and the Career Path program. Find out more about our varied programs at www.eaglespeak.org. |
