Classical Academy Escondido will partner with parents
in their mission to develop exemplary young citizens who
aspire to attain their personal academic potential. Equipped
with analytical thinking skills, a passion for learning,
and virtuous character, all built upon a solid foundation
of knowledge, our students will become an asset to our
community and nation.
Classical Academy Escondido offers parents educational
choices for their children. They may choose one of three
tracks - A, B, or C. All tracks involve independent study
and partnering with parents, however. Tracks A and B involve
regular full-day optional workshops twice a week, while
Track C students school at home five days a week.
Track A (Monday & Wednesday) - Track
B (Tuesday & Thursday)
Optional workshops for students meet from 8:00 am to 2:25
pm. Workshops offer parents a two-day opportunity for
their children to interact in a class-like setting where
a California credentialed teacher provides instruction
and supervision. Students work in groups enabling them
to interact and share learning experiences with their
peers. Parents receive curriculum and prepared lesson
plans, as well as planned field trips / activities outside
the workshop. These field trips follow the science and
history themes throughout the year.
Parents are able to work along side the teacher to develop
an individualized curriculum for their student. Children
receive a morning break, lunch hour, and afternoon break,
where Student Supervisors organize games and activities
for their enjoyment. Our optional workshop students receive
music and Spanish instruction along with their other studies.
We believe our optional workshop program provides students
and parents one of the best home and school experiences.
Tracks A & B Provide:

Track
C (5 Day Home Study)
Parents choosing to participate in this track maintain
the freedom and flexibility of fulltime home schooling.
Working with an Educational Specialist (ES), students
meet as often as needed to discuss their individualized
academic program. ES's provide academic leadership in
the selection of curriculum and resources for parents
to teach their children. Parents in Track C enjoy the
freedom to select non-sectarian curriculum that they feel
supports them in educating their children. Students in
this program can choose weekly lab activities such as:
computer, math, choir, and musical theatre. Instructors
at TCA teach these labs. Track C is viewed as the track
of "choice" when it comes to providing parents
choices in curriculum, electives, and labs.
