About Antelope Valley Learning Academy

Mission Statement
The mission of the Antelope Valley Learning Academy is to provide home schooling students in grades K-8 with a public school option that combines the best of home schooling and site based learning with an academically rigorous, State Standards aligned Personalized Learning program in a multi-cultural student-centered environment.

Vision Statement
Our vision is to be the lead provider of Personalized Learning in Los Angeles based upon student and parent demand, parent satisfaction surveys and academic performance.

Instructional Program Options:

Option 1: Parents meet with a credentialed teacher to develop a Personalized Home Education Program that meets the needs of the child

Option 2: In addition to the customized home education program, students can attend 1 to 2 days per week of classroom instruction at the Academy's Learning Center.

Classroom Instruction Hours: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm

School Year and Accountability: The Antelope Valley Learning Academy follows a system of learning periods that are at a maximum of 20 days in length. Our school year of 180 days is divided into 2 semesters. Students in grades 2nd through 8th will participate in the State Testing and Reporting Program, California Standards Test, as well as the Physical Education Test. Antelope Valley Learning Academy will comply with all required state assessments.
